The Fell Lapland Environmental Health Authority is responsible for environmental health and veterinary services in the Enontekiö area.
Environmental health aims to maintain and promote the citizens’ health through various measures related to the living environment. The basic issues of environmental health include, for example, good quality drinking water and food, as well as a healthy and safe living environment.
Environmental health is responsible for veterinary services and animal protection. A centralised veterinary emergency service operates in the Fell Lapland area.
